Surfing Birthday question?
Hey im a surfer, been surfing for about 9 years now. Im wondering what i should get for my birthday from my parents. I have all the surfboards that i could possibly need, i have a longboard(skateboard), wetsuits, rashguards, fins, Board Bag, balance board, etc. If you could think of anything i could get that would be really helpful. I am also wondering if there is any water proof camera that i can make home surf videos with.
Is there anything you could think of that i could get?

Well, I'm sure you won't be voting me as "Best Answer." but honesty is the best policy. I will assume you are a teenager. If that's the case, I can understand some of your narcissistic sense of entitlement, but it's really pretty annoying. You should be grateful for lots of things: A) that you have parents; B) that they give a shit that it's your birthday; C) That they can afford to give you anything other than card or a kiss and a hug.
I was never poor, by real standards. But my family never had money to buy me "toys". Every surfboard I have owned since I started at age 14, I paid for with money that I earned and saved. And, I was happy that my Mom and Dad cared enough to spend their hard earned money to feed, house and clothe me. I would have never been so presumptuous to expect to get surf gear or trivial things like that for a birthday. Clothes and school supplies and things like that were fine. And believe me, my kids didn't get birthday surfboards or surf gear either. They got nice, thoughtful, useful presents, like nice coats or new clothes.
I don't recall anything special, even for big birthdays, like turning 18, that we celebrated pretty joyfully, with a big meal and nice cake. I spent my 21st birthday overseas, and got a card. Funny, my son did too, and we sent him a nice card.
I'm sorry, but a question like yours just annoys the hell out of me. I'm sure you are really a nice kid. But being 'spoiled', is never attractive.
